Senior
Portraits
Suggestions:
Hair:
Get your haircut about a week before your sitting. Don't make drastic changes in your hair style for your senior portraits. You want your hair to be neat, but natural. Hair cannot be retouched.
Make - Up:You can wear your make-up slightly heavier than you normally do, especially for the indoor studio portraits. Don't be afraid to wear a little make-up even if you normally don't wear any. You don't want to look unnatural but a little lip color, etc. will add to your portraits. You can have poses done with and without the make-up for more variety. Bring make-up, hair spray, brush, comb, curling iron, jewelry, etc. with you.
Class Ring:If you have a class ring bring it with you. If your boyfriend or girlfriend has it, get it back for the day. We want it on your finger for your portraits. We will show it prominently in a couple of poses, but only if you have it with you.
Eye Glasses:Ask your optician to lend you a pair of frames in the same style as yours. Glasses cause reflections that cannot be retouched on the negatives. If you cannot get a replacement set of frames you could have your lenses removed before the sitting and replaced afterward. Ask your optician. We can remove some lenses at the studio, (only wire rimmed glasses) but we prefer letting the optician do it.
Clothing:You can change a couple of times for the outdoor poses and a couple of times for the indoor poses. We prefer long sleeve shirts and sweaters but bring along an armload of your favorites and we'll help you choose the ones that will photograph the best. Too many is better than too few! Bring some that you like and some that your mother likes too. Shoes will show occasionally so bring some that will go with the clothing you will be wearing. Bring along your athletic outfit if you like.
Props:Bring along your own props. Band instrument, skiis, family pet, car, motorcycle, etc.
Friends:We don't mind if you bring a friend along. It can be a best friend, boyfriend , or girlfriend. We can do a few poses of you with them if you like.
